Offline Gmail Becomes Official Posted By Brian Heater
Hard to believe it’s been nearly a year since Google first launched Offline Gmail. As part of the company’s commitment toward speeding up its final product roll outs, the feature has just graduated from Google Labs, meaning that it has officially become a permanent part of the Webmail service.
Along with the roll out, Google has fixed a number of bugs and added some new features, including the ability to designate which messages get download and the ability to send messages with attachments while offline.
Users still have to opt-in to the feature. You can do so by visiting the Settings tab and clicking “Enable Offline Mail for this computer.” Read more ->
